.Name. Anatieyre
.Nickname. Yearner of Woe, Evil Bitch.
.Age. Exact age unknown; speculated to be around nine thousand or so.
.Birthday. Unknown.
Race: Although she was once a human thousands of years ago, she can no longer be considered one because of her dabbling in the occult arts. No longer having an actual race, she is now classified only as the Yearner of Woe.
Yearner of Woe: A being that, as its name implies, yearns for woe and sorrow and feeds on it to sustain itself and prolong its life. Anatieyre is the only Yearner of Woe in existence (although Eltana could be considered a weaker form of one), and has lived for thousands of years by instigating all sorts of events that could bring about pain and misery, ranging from murders to full-scale wars.
The Yearner of Woe can sense the pain around it, and sees it as a colored mist. This 'mist of suffering' is essentially a very addictive drug to a Yearner of Woe. By consuming it the Yearner of Woe gains a multitude of benefits, such as eternal youth, an unbelievably wide array of magical spells, telepathy, and etc. However, if the Yearner of Woe is denied this mist after sustaining itself on it for a long time, its powers would begin to fade and it would definitely perish within the next two-to-three centuries.
Anatieyre has shown the ability to transplant her consciousness, but it seems that she can only take over the bodies of willing hosts for a limited amount of time. If the host puts up a good fight she can easily be warded off. An unwilling host that can't put up a fight, however, like a corpse, can easily be taken over by the Yearner of Woe.
Having recently murdered and absorbed the Prophet Baphomet through a corpse body, she has obtained the gift of prophecy (or at least a degree of it). And considering that Baphomet could take over people's bodies without their consent, it is likely that she no longer needs permission to take over someone's body; the unspecified time limit, however, most likely still applies to her.
Allegiance: When it comes to allegiance, Anatieyre is very similar to her associate and friend Eltana in that, even though she often pretends to have loyalties to various groups for self-serving purposes, her allegiance lies with herself alone. In regard to the 'silly squabble' between the Order of Lumen and the Knights of Osirus she is rather uninterested, but has taken a small liking to Osirus and wants him to be victorious for her own selfish reasons.
Profession/Rank: Anatieyre is currently employed as a literary scholar in a nation to the far north of Alyssus in order to have access to various ancient occult texts that could be beneficial to her. She has held many jobs over her long life that she used either directly or indirectly further her plans and machinations. She could also be considered a director of the Blood Chamber, considering her influence over Eltana.
According to Anatieyre, she served as queen regnant of at least two nations over the course of her life, and had complete control over the monarch of an ancient kingdom. Whether or not there is any actual substance to this claim is debatable, and it would be next to impossible to find out because of her murky history.
She is currently forming a group to rival the Knights of Osirus and Order of Lumen with Eltana, of which she will be the de facto leader.
.Hair. Anatieyre's hair is obsidian in color, and cascades down to her lower back. Her dark tresses are remarkably smooth and always seem to carry a pleasant fragrance. She rarely decorates her hair with bows and head dresses, finding them quite annoying.
.Eyes. A dark, frightening crimson. While beautiful and rather enticing, they are truly the eyes of the devil. Her eyes are devoid of any sort of light or brightness, just like the spirit of their owner. Anatieyre's gaze is one you would definitely want to avoid at all costs.
.Physical Description. Anatieyre is simply put a very beautiful woman. Gifted with a voluptuous, curvy body and lovely features, she is essentially the image of loveliness. She stands at approximately 6'0", and has a lithe and elegant form. Her skin is as white as snow, and is free from any scars or unsightly growths or blemishes. Anatieyre's facial features are relatively sharp and quite pleasing to the eye.
Anatieyre is a woman who values beauty and fashion - a trait that she shares with her adopted son Eltana and Queen Marcelle of Alyssus. She frequently dresses in garish, tight-fitting dresses, most of which are dark shades of red. She adores jewelry, and is never seen without at least a necklace or pair of earrings on. Her favorite piece of jewelry is a light violet collar adorned with many large gems. Her only casual outfit is a red, smock-like dress that she wears in private. Anatieyre also uses cosmetics, most notably the icy blue lipstick she has been wearing even before she became the Yearner of Woe.

.Goals. Thats for her to know and you to find out.
.Fears. None that she would show openly.
.Personality. Anatieyre could be considered the polar opposite of Prophet Bassette: an wicked, self-centered witch who would do anything to get what she wants. Once a kind and sweet woman, living for thousands of years transformed her into a ruthless, evil bitch. There are very few redeeming qualities to the Yearner of Woe; her soul is essentially one of blackness and evil.
She is horribly avaricious, her desires insatiable; nothing is ever enough for her; she keeps taking and taking until there is nothing left, and still wants more. Anatieyre is a very wrathful woman; even when she is wearing one of her false smiles and putting on a pleasant air, she's furious inside. She considers herself above everyone in terms of pretty much everything, and has nothing but contempt for those who refuse to show loyalty to her.
Anatieyre possesses a remarkably cold, logical mind, and is very intelligent. In fact, she considers herself the smartest person on the face of the earth! That in mind, she refuses to ever admit that she is capable of making mistakes or overlooking details, always claiming that it's someone else's fault. She is also quite humorless and is very intolerant of silliness and nonsense. Her complete lack of mercy shows how cold she is; even though she is rather motherly toward her minions, she wouldn't hesitate to have one of them savagely beaten or killed for displeasing her in the slightest.
Anatieyre is usually very refined and controlled, her face a blank slate. Her voice is always calm and placid, and only a few times in her unnaturally long life has she felt the need to raise it. People tend to think of her as a stoic individual because the only actual emotions she shows outwardly are half-hearted disappointment, mild annoyance, and forced kindness. All in all, she's a rather boring individual.
As you might have guessed, she isn't much of a people person. The only kind of people she can get along with are people like Osirus and Nikanoru and, of course, Eltana.

.History. Anatieyre's past and genesis as the Yearner of Woe are very murky. A woman as old as she is surely has quite an interesting and eventful life, but because she is so secretive, she rarely imparts any information about herself to her minions and associates. Eltana is probably the only living person who knows a good deal about her back story, and you probably wouldn't get anything out of him if you asked, seeing as how he's just as secretive as his surrogate mother.
As a mere human she lived a happy life with her family in an ancient empire, probably under a different name than Anatieyre. How and why is unknown, but she eventually became involved with dark magics and the occult. After years of practicing these mysterious dark magics she became a very different person: once a rather pleasant and gentle woman, she was transformed into a ruthless, megalomaniacal monster. She neglected her friends and family for her studies, searching for ways to obtain immortality and power, which she eventually did.
After decades of research, Anatieyre discovered how to live forever: by imbuing herself with countless dark magics and casting spells on herself, she could see the suffering and pain of others in a tangible form and literally feed on it to prolong her life and bestow herself with power. She decided to use her family to test this discovery, murdering them and feeding on the shock and horror they experienced at dying by the hand of a loved one. The taste of it, the feeling it gave her - she wanted more.
She went on living this way for thousands of years: murdering, orchestrating wars, committing atrocities. After successfully bringing the downfall of her own nation by orchestrating a conspiracy to throw it into a war it couldn't win, she moved on to other lands to do the exact same things, feeding on their misery after she brought them to ruin. Sometimes she did this by simply committing mass murders, other times by gaining a position of power and throwing the nation into chaos.
But that still wasn't enough to satisfy her - she needed more!
Anatieyre gathered followers each time she moved to a new land. By promising them wealth and power or simply giving them an opportunity to kill, she turned them into her minions and used them to cause as much death as possible. Some she'd send to other lands to cause pain in her stead, others she'd have aide her more directly. Regardless, the outcome was the same: the suffering multiplied, along with her power.
Her followers would eventually die, but she would live on, returning to old lands and traveling to new ones to repeat the same routine, gathering new followers and causing more pain. She had masterminded wars, murders, and slaughters for her own selfish reasons, but that still wasn't enough for her! Her hunger was growing by the minute...
One day she came upon the war-ravaged land of Alyssus - a land already plagued by a war that she could feed on! But she wasn't just going to sit back and feed on that when she could be causing even more suffering. She needed to worsen the situation, she needed more woe. But how was she going to do that?
That was where Eltana came into play. The day Lyara was razed, Anatieyre was lurking about the ruins, feeding on the suffering. It was there that she ran into a pained little boy, crying at the loss of his family and the disappearance of his older brother. Anatieyre originally intended on just leaving him there (after feeding on his pain, of course), but noticing something about him, something familiar. He too had a darkness within him, a hunger that couldn't be satisfied. Realizing he could be very useful, she took him with her and raised him as her own.
It was then that she settled down in a large city in a nation north of Alyssus and raised Eltana there, at the same time orchestrating slaughters in foreign lands through her other minions and formulating a plan for the child she was bringing up. When he matured, she sent him back to Alyssus with a mission: He was to bewitch a wealthy weapons dealer by the name of Kairai Takashe and take over his company while in the guise of his 'partner'. He would sell weapons to the Knights of Osirus, thereby increasing the bloodshed and nourishing his mother.
Today Anatieyre still resides in a nation to the north of Alyssus, pulling the strings from behind the curtains. While she manipulates events in Alyssus through Eltana, she is also working on starting two other wars in nations to the far east of Alyssus. In one nation she is simply organizing a rebellion against the benevolent government through a willing host, and in the other she is masterminding a scheme to eliminate the nation's princess and place the blame on the former nation.
Once her scheme with the eastern nations comes to fruition (and it soon will), she plans on entering the fray in Alyssus under a new identity and taking a side - probably the Order of Lumen, seeing as they seem to be at a disadvantage. By leveling the playing field she would prolong the suffering and nourish herself. While doing, she plans on having Eltana form a third faction that would surface to go against the stronger side (which she anticipates will be the Knights of Osirus) as soon as the other side (the Order of Lumen) is very close to defeat or gone altogether. Eltana and his pawn Takashe would make a grab for power while she spearheaded the operation from behind the scenes, and she would feed on the woe they'd leave in their wake.
Although she prefers operating from nations away, she sometimes takes up residence in the abandoned Temple of Lumen in Lyara, which serves as both Eltana's home and headquarters.

- Eltana Remarque - Not only his he her right-hand-man and associate, but he is basically her son. Even though she did not give birth to him, she raised him as her own ever since Osirus and his knights razed Lyara.
- Nocens Atrum - Even though she considers herself the one true goddess of the world, she does have a liking for Nocens Atrum and his pawn Osirus.
- Beauty - Eltana had to get his love of beauty from somewhere! Anatieyre adores all things pretty, shown in the way she dresses and all the perfume and make-up she uses.
- Death, suffering, etc - Pretty obvious
- Chocolate - Anatieyre has quite a sweet tooth.
- Reading - Anatieyre has always enjoyed reading books, from novels to ancient magical texts!
- Cooking - Seeing as no one can make something for her to eat because she lives alone, and because she has very picky tastes, Anatieyre trained herself to become an excellent cook.
- The Arts - An educated and cultured woman, Anatieyre is a patron of the arts. She can sometimes be seen attending operas and art galleries. Eltana undoubtedly got his love of the arts from his 'mother.'
.Dislikes.
- Humanity in general - What self-respecting misanthrope wouldn't?
- Men - Anatieyre is an outspoken sexist, and believes men are only useful for manual labor. Whenever men are working under her they are usually employed as bodyguards. This prejudice of hers was undoubtedly a cause of Eltana's association with the female gender.
- Profanity - She won't abide cursing. The only exception to this rule of hers is if you're referring to Bassette, Lumen, or Freya. And if you curse at HER, ohoho...
- Lumen - Anatieyre loathes Lumen, mainly because she considers herself the only true goddess of the world. That, and she has never been a fan of the entire 'goody two-shoes' routine.
- Bassette, Freya - Considers them both useless whores. Usually refers to Bassette as 'that stupid bitch.'
- The Order of Lumen - Pretty much the same reasons why she hates Lumen.
- Damaged books - NOTHING pisses her off more than seeing a book in bad condition.
- Laties - Her hatred for this man is pretty much indescribable. First and foremost, she considers him nothing more than a barbarian - much like a few of the Knights of Osirus. She hates everything about him: his personality, physical appearance, clothing (or lack thereof), and so on.
.Goals. Thats for her to know and you to find out.
