.Name. Laties Elidd Luhma
.Nickname.Lati or Lat
.Age. 27
.Birthday. July 18th
Race: Elemental Users: A dwindling race residing in the vast deserts of Gurella with the abilities to slightly control the elements. (more information can be found in Various Races thread)
Allegiance: Gurella; Still has some loyalty to Osirus
Profession/Rank: Swordsmen and a Spearmen; Considered as a ‘God’ in Gurella
.Hair. Straight dark brown hair that is normally tied into a small ponytail. If he lets it down his hair would stop at the base of his neck.
.Eyes. Dark brown
.Physical Description.
Laties stands at 5’11” with a semi-athletic build from not wearing the heavy plated armor most of the higher ranking officers wears. In his opinion wearing the armor is both restricting and uncomfortable. The normal expression one would see the general have on his face is one of a rather laid-back, cheerful man. Which often gives people the impression that he is one of the ‘all-talk-but-no-action’ type.
Like most soldiers of the army, Laties has his share of scars. Most are from when he was a page and a few from when he was Knight’s Squire. However, since he became a knight and moved up the ranks, he received only one unexplained scar. On his left side, Laties has a scar starting near his belly button and ending near his spine and is about an inch wide.
Seeing that Laties rarely wears his armor, to distinguish that he of high ranking he normally wears the formal uniform with his ranks on the collar. Though, he considers the uniform slightly restricting and uncomfortable he’d prefer it over the armor. Now that Laties is a ‘traitor‘ in Osirus‘ eyes, he could be found wearing clothing from his native land. His native clothing is rather simple, just a pair of black trousers with thin white metal plates covers them. (See photo)

.Personality.
Laties is a joking and immature person when people first meet him. He’s a fun person to be around despite his reputation, cracking jokes whenever he gets the chance, getting away with things with smart remarks, running away from things he‘s expected to do. His tribe often calls him a two-spirit, the spirit of a boy and the spirit of a man in one body. Despite his child like nature, he is able to decide when it is time to be serious and act like an adult. When it happens, Laties seems to take on a complete different personality.
He changes from the joking and immature person he is to a more cool, calm, and collected soul. Laties gains a intimidating aura and really shows how he became General of the knights. It also shows as he was able to gain the trust of thousands and how he was able to convince/manipulate others. In the end, that was something that had a harsh blow to his spirit.
On the battlefield, like any other person, Laties becomes a completely different person. On the battlefield he lives off of adrenaline and he loves every single moment of it. Laties loves how all rationality leaves him and is replaced with the undying desire to live. If placed in the required situation, Laties is more than willing to throw away his humane side and go into a more animalistic side.

.History.
Laties was born in one of the tribes living in the Gurella Desert as the oldest child of a loving mother and father and the older brother to a younger sister. There he spent his days learning how to control the elements and became one of the few who were able to bend the elements to their will. He spent hours playing with his friends and helping the tribe survive the harsh conditions of the desert. One could say he lived a fine life, to him, it was the best years of his life. Swimming with his closest friends in the oasis, helping the tribe, discovering the rare chocolate treats, he used to think that the world was his tribe.
Once every twenty years, the tribe sent a group of children to Du Aurella to join Alyssus’ army and included with that group was Laties. At the age of eleven, he left his family and most of his friends to face the harsh reality of the world he was not familiar with. Once arriving to the palace, Laties and the group he arrived with was constantly bullied because they came from an unknown tribe from the desert and were often called ‘barbarians’. Angered by the name they called him and his tribe, Laties swore he would bring glory to his tribe and let them have the proper respect they deserved.
At the age of fourteen, he made the name of ’Prodigy’ for himself by challenging those of higher ranks to duels and winning. He was a intelligent when it came to battles, quick with his sword arm and faster with his daggers but skilled when it came to a spear his tribe used. Within the next few years, Laties became a Knight’s Squire and was sent to protect the main roads from bandits and to the boarders to fight off any raiders with his master. By the time Laties was able to become a knight, he made another name for himself, the Disarmer. Not one of the most creative names but Laties was known to be able to disarm the strongest opponents and deliver a powerful finishing strike.
At the age of twenty, Laties received the news of his parents’ death. Once he had the time, Laties quickly left for Gurella but he was too late for the burial. After that, Laties spent as much time in the tribe to take care of his sister and help the tribe before he was called to the army. Where he continued moving up the ranks and making a name for himself and his tribe.

There were a few clouds littering the night sky, hiding the stars from his eyes. In Gurella, the nights were cloudless and the sky was decorated in a ocean of stars. Faintly, he could remember the crackling of flames from the bonfire his tribe had every night, the smell of meat roasting over it, the splashing of water. A small smile formed on his face as he draped an arm over his eyes, memories of his desert home filling his mind. His free hand drummed on the roof of the stables, the same beat over and over for several minutes. There was a pause as his smile grew as he began a slow beat with one hand and slowly began to quicken the beat.
His mind danced with memories of the ceremonies that were held, the dancing so much more energy then the ballroom dancing in Du Aurella, the feel of the hot sun beating against his skin, the stories the tribe leaders told. Laties missed home.
“A strange beat you have there, Lat.”
The beat slowed to a stop as he responded to the nickname, “It sounds better with real instruments.” He turned his head slightly to look at the Virea make herself comfortable on the rooftop. “Oh? Something from your home?” She asked as she leaned against her knees and watched the high ranking officers with a small smile. “Tell me about it, you rarely speak of your home, in fact, this is the first time I’ve asked you directly.”
Laties smirked, “You want to know about the desert tribes?” His answer was a nod. “Very well then, I’ll tell you when I feel like talking.” Lourette frowned as she slowly began to stalk towards him, “You will tell me now.” The dark haired man chuckled as he rolled away. “I’ve known you long enough to become immune from your seductive caresses.” He ‘cackled’ before rolling off the roof and landing on his feet. “You shall never know!” he shouted as he took off running.
