.Name.
Lourette of the North Wind
.Nickname.
Lourette, Bunny, Lour, Loubun (Only Laties can call her this)
.Age.
She is a lot older than she looks, since viera live much longer than normal humans, but, if you had to guess her age by how she looked, you'd probably guess somewhere in the late teens to early twenties. In all actuality, she's about eighty years old.
.Race.
Lourette is a viera, a rare species in Alyssus. Normally hailing from the faraway land of Dracania, viera are commonly recognized with their strangely-formed feet and bunny ears.
.Birthday.
Sometime in late October... the thirtieth, perhaps? Somewhere around there...
Allegiance:
King Osirus
Profession/Rank:
Hm. Well, before she became a knight, she sang and played a lute in a troupe that traveled all through Dracania and Alyssus. She was also a merchant for a short time before she joined the troupe. Now, she's the lieutenant general of King Osirus's army. She'd probably be considered an archer or a fencer.
.Hair.
Lourette's hair, like all viera, is as white as freshly-fallen snow. She likes to have it long, but, since it can hinder with her movement, she tends to keep it cropped to the middle of her back.
.Eyes.
Most viera have eyes that range from blue-gray to turquoise. With Lourette, this isn't the case. Her eyes are a deep amber color, and look deep and full of wisdom, even though she isn't that smart.
.Physical Description.
Lourette, despite being a knight, has a very lithe and wiry frame. This shape gives her better speed and agility, which is her main asset in battle. She stands at a towering seven feet, but that includes her fourteen-inch white rabbit ears. Her slightly-tanned skin shows that she is not a viera of pure blood, but is a mix between a light and dark viera. Though that may seem strange, that's not as odd as her feet. Her feet are naturally bent so that she is always standing on her tiptoes. Because of this, she must always wear high-heeled boots or a piece of viera armor that supports her feet so she doesn't topple over every two steps.
Lourette's armor is that of typical viera armor. Though not as modest as most suits of armor, does provide decent protection. The secret lies in the translucent veil that hangs over her chest and stomach. It is enchanted with some sort of magic that prevents close-range attacks from piercing it, though ranged attacks, like arrows, can still do damage. When she isn't wearing her armor, she is usually in normal viera clothing, which really doesn't look anything different than normal human clothing, but is just called viera fashion. Occasionally, Lourette will wear a couple of earrings in her right ear, but this is very rare, since she has a tendency to take her earrings out and misplace them.
Though Lourette can use a variety of weapons, she prefers to stick with lighter ones, like a short sword and a small shield, a light saber, a rapier, or a bow and arrows.
.Picture.
The first one is her armor, the second is her normal clothing.
.Celebrity Portrayal. The closest thing I can think of is Fran off of Final Fantasy XII, though she isn't a celebrity. Oh well.

.Personality.
Lourette is usually very laid-back and carefree, especially when she's around friends. If the situation is very upbeat, like a party or celebration of some sort, she is the 'life of the party'. If the situation is more morbid, she is quiet and a bit on the sullen side, especially if something bad has happened to her. If so, she can be very emotional and tends to burst into tears at the slightest thing.
Lourette could be called a 'witch,' by some of the lower-ranking knights, since she can be strict with them. But, if you ask someone like Laties, she's really not that bad. Someone like Isra may say that she's a 'freeloader', but you don't believe him, do you? (-winkwinknudgenudge-)

.History.
In the distant land of Dracania resides a strange race called the viera. These rabbit people live in a world free of magic and strife. Here is the birthplace of Lourette of the North Wind, daughter of Sir Varest of the Crimson Twilight, a knight and commander of the Dracanian army, and Lady Marette of the Blooming Rose, the daughter of a noblewoman and rich merchant. Though it looked as if she was rather well-off, she didn't like how she was. Always taught to be proper. Stand like this. Dress like that. It was unbearable. That was before she heard of the Wandering White Rose Players, a wandering troupe of all kinds of people, from humans to elves to viera. Even a dragon traveled with them. She snuck out one night to see them perform, and, after the show, she was amazed. She decided to see if they needed an extra singer or something. It was then that she met her dearest friend, Fleuret of the Autumn Breeze, another viera. Though Fleuret was a lot older, the two seemed like one soul sharing two bodies. In the troupe, Fleuret taught Lourette to play a lute, along with showing her all kinds of Dracanian folk songs. She traveled with the Players for about twenty years, getting something very nice from the troupe every five years. For her first five years, she got a pair of gold hoop earrings. For her second, she got a gold necklace with a Dracanian crest, a silver shield with a silhouette of a viera's head crafted from obsidian, as a medallion. For her third, she got a beautiful hand-crafted lute. For her fourth, she got a suit of white viera armor, complete with the enchanted veil.
As they neared Alyssus for the twentieth time since Lourette joined, she felt a burning desire to explore Du Aurella when they reached the capital city. When she did, she saw the fun all of the knights were having, sparring with one another, drinking strong drinks and singing drunken ditties, riding strange beasts that they called horses, and the all-around friendship they had. She knew that this was where she belonged, not a prim, proper girl in Dracania, not with the Wandering White Rose Players, but here, with the humans, sparring with them, getting drunk, and having fun! One day, she joined them in sparring, and one of them taught her how to fight with a rapier. When she got the hang of it, she began sparring against them and actually beating them. When she found out how popular she'd become, she felt as if she really belonged here among the humans. So, one night, she broke it to the Players. With a tearful goodbye, she left them, with only her clothes and the gifts they'd given her for the past twenty years of being with them.
Now as a part of the royal army, she spent plenty of time working on her fighting skills, with the rapier, saber, and bow. She became very skilled with each of the weapons, that, finally, she was given the rank of lieutenant general. As she became more and more skilled, she felt the darkness growing in her heart and her loyalty to the darkness growing even stronger. Strange, because Dracania was a peaceful kingdom. She didn't care now. She was no longer a Dracanian. She was a loyal knight of King Osirus.

"Dreaming of the stars on high
That speak to me in secret sighs
Drifting on a breeze
Only I can feel and hear
Could it be the sacred wind
That's pulling me to now begin
To walk into the dark
Carrying the light of tomorrow
Need to walk the wings of high
Beyond the earth, beyond the sky
C'mon don't hesitate
Don't look back we've got to go now
Don't fear
You'll be safe with the one
Morning star watching over all
Deep inside so silently
My heart must beat
Deep inside of me
Memories flickering and shimmering on
Endlessly
Keeping close to the path
Morning star watching over all
Moving over endless mountains up so high
Walking to the light
Your heart will
See the path and you will find your way
Just wait and see
Moving under endless skies oh so high
Tomorrow we'll follow, when in doubt,
Your promises today...
Just wait and see..."
The last notes of the song hung on the air as Lourette strummed a little closing on her lute and lay the instrument across her lap to cheers from the spectators. Smiling, she looked up to see the people surrounding her, and screamed. The people had no faces, and were just blank globs of flesh with hair. She suddenly startled awake and stared up at the canopy of leaves that was over her head. Her eyes narrowed to a squint as a ray of sunlight slipped in between the leaves and reached her eyes. As she moved her head away from the sky, she began to think of wonder How long had it been since she'd left the Wandering White Rose Players and joined up with this side? Hm... Maybe about...ten years? Something along those lines... She groaned softly as she sat up and cracked her neck. She missed all of her friends: Naahra, Alamareth, Zwei, Fleuret...especially Fleuret...
Sighing, she shook her head to get the thoughts out of her mind, to disturb them and let them swirl about in a dark, tumultuous maelstrom in her mind. She reached up to grab a low branch and forced herself into a standing position. She shook out her hair and sighed loudly as her rabbit ears brushed against the leaves, tickling them softly. Groaning, she pushed through the leaves and came out from under the tree to face a large, rolling plain. This wasn't good. She'd been left behind...again...
It never failed. The viera always got left behind. Once she got her hands on the person who suggested them leave without her, she'd wring their neck, skin them alive, then roast them over a fire and eat them. No, she really wouldn't do that, but she would try. Of course, if she'd done that, she'd probably be chased out of Alyssus by an angry mob. Cliche, yes, but it happened to many a viera. Now, to head back to Du Aurella or head toward the Sasakra forest? The others wanted to see if they could find out what was in the forests, but they decided to leave without her and get themselves killed, probably. But then General Laties would have her hide. Either he would or Nikanoru would, and the latter would probably be much worse... So, she would probably have to look for them. Now, to figure out which way to go? Raising her head slightly, she sniffed the air and remembered that she wasn't a dog, so she couldn't smell them. But...what was that? Footprints leading straight to Du Aurella? Good. With that, she took one step and leaned forward, darting straight back to the capital city.
