"Alright, little leverets! Like this!" A swift-footed female lunged forward, her rapier tearing through one of the dummies with ease. Withdrawing her sword from the straw-filled sack, Lourette stepped back. "You hold the sword like this," she said, turning her wrist so the blade was lined up parallel to the ground. "Don't hold it like this..." with that, she turned her wrist so the sword was lined up parallel to one of the castle walls. "...Or else you can easily have it ripped right out of your hands..."
One of the young pages raised his hand, and Lourette sighed, lowering her sword and rolling her eyes. "What?" she asked, "Don't tell me you didn't understand that..."
"Oh, no, I did," the young boy replied, holding his chin up, trying to retain a shred of dignity after being stared down by the scary rabbit woman. "I'm just wondering how it can be ripped out of your hands..."
"Alright, boy, come 'ere," Lourette said, raising her sword again. "Hold your sword like I said not to and you'll be the example for the rest..."

Gaius watched from one of the corners of the room as the Leverets desperately tried to keep up with Lourette. She had them beat in elegance, speed, and posture. This boy was really a hassle. He turned his ear to the group, listening......he couldn't read minds, but he could heaer evil or teasing thoughts. Most wanted to snip the woman's ears off, that this rabbit woman should be shot like most bunnies for food, and so on. Especially the page. He was a nuisance, and as a nuisance, you should know your place and respect your commanders. His pride got in the way of both. A lesson in humiliation was needed.
Gaius moved quickly as air, seeming to drift to the evil. The page's sword was now in Gaius's hand. He looked down at the boy with an indifferent glare as if to say "That's how it's ripped." The boy's lip twitched as if to say something back, but he bit his lip before those were just as easily ripped off. The sword was thrown across the room, in which the boy hurried ran after.
Gaius then walked slowly to the corner nearest to Lourette, giving her a look to continue the lesson like nothing happened, as if he was an officer with a higher state than hers. The truth was, he did respect her. Her evil was sweet sounding. It twirled around her in musical notes, playing out in slight hope Osirus would hear them, along with the other Shades, and for two people he couldn't identify. Hearing evil was vague, but it gave you ideas.

A small smile and a wink was all Lourette gave Gaius before turning back to the pages which she was training. "Now, you never use a rapier to slash at an enemy. Does anyone know why?"
A smart-mouthed page near the end of the line piped up, "Because it can't cut off a rabbit's ears!" That was welcomed by the other pages with roaring laughs. Lourette stood there, a smirk tugging at her lips. "Ah, is that what you think?" she asked. With a swift, fluid motion, she was standing before the boy who had made the snide remark. Grabbing him by the front of his tunic, she lifted him off the ground, her eyes locked upon his. "Care to say that again to my face?" The look in her amber-colored eyes said to the boy that if he dared try anything, he would be laying in a bloodied, crumpled heap against the wall. With a quick head shake, Lourette dropped the boy onto the ground and turned on her heel, walking back to stand before the rest of the leverets.
"Alright, it seems you've had enough practice with a sword. Now, let's move on to a bow..." With that, she pulled out a long, willow-hewn bow and strung it. "And don't you damn well tell me that you don't know how to string a bow..."

Gaius turned away at the wink and the smile. He disliked being flirted with. For one, it caused unneeded arousal, and the second, the kids in this class might think he's a softie. He could end that though. He looked back to the training, somewhat enjoying Lourette reprimanding the idiotic page. She was nearly as quick as him. Nearly.
Still, this type of intense training and reprimanding crafted future generals. These pages and leverets would one day be teaching a class, just like Lourette. Now, while they said they would be nicer teachers, there was no room for nice in King Osirus's threshold.
He looked Lourette over again. They shared a few similar charteristics and charismatics. For one, no tolerance toward ignorant pages. A second, and perhaps more comical similarity was the ears. Both were long, and while hers heard better toward the general world, he heard all the evil. If put to it, they could make quite a team, if of course, she wasn't constantly flirting with him like usual. Goddamn those cute ears.

"Alright, you leverets who have your bows strung, go set up the targets. The rest of you--I don't care if the bowstring stung you!" she cried to a boy who complained about his bowstring popping him in the arm. "You shouldn't be firing without an arrow anyway! That's a good way to kill yourself!"
"Why was I the one charged with training the morons...why, why, why?" she asked herself, rubbing her temples. Her usually erect ears flopped, a sure sign that she was definitely annoyed. Taking a deep breath, Lourette's ears straightened again and, once the targets were set up, the viera woman sauntered to one boy who was trying to nock his arrow. Swiping the arrow from him, she examined it and laughed. "Did you fletch this?" she asked. When the boy nodded, she laughed. "The feathers are off, the head isn't properly attached, and the shaft is crooked! Look what'll happen if I fire it!" Loading the clumsily-made arrow to her beautiful bow, she pulled back on the string and fired. If it were a properly-made arrow, it would've embedded itself in the dead center of the target. But, the arrow, however, because of its bad craftsmanship, didn't fly true, and embedded itself in a tree near Gaius. Hiding his flushed face, the boy backed up as Lourette turned around.
"See what happens when you don't fletch an arrow correctly?" she asked, drawing one of her own arrows from a small quiver at her waist. "Now, see how a proper arrow flies." Drawing back on her string again, Lourette released the arrow, hitting the dead center of the target. "Now, let's see you leverets fire your arrows!"

Gaius was paying meager attention now, getting bored. That is, until he saw another mistake. He hardly used bows and he knew the basics to fletching. He quirked his eyebrow as the clumsily made arrow nearly hit him. He grabbed it, inspecting it, then, with a flicker of his thoughts, destroyed it. The boy who made it seemed to wince as his creation, if not a crappy one, was destroyed.
He listened again as more evil thoughts were renewed. Some of them had better fletched arrows, and her armor couldn't protect against them. As this was so, many thought of shooting their arrows at her. He cast quick glances to the ones who had these thoughts. Still, these were the best and brightest students, if not the most obedient. Yet, he felt they needed a quick lesson in what would happen if one tried to shoot an arrow, perhaps serving a lesson to fellow classmates. He chose one who had the best arrow, and when the leveret shot it, he used minor telekinesis to change the arrows course, along with using magic to crush the point, to make sure it wouldn't harm its target too much.
The arrow flew right onto Lourette's ear. He already saw the student's awe, surprise, and most of all, fear, at what the arrow had done. And there was nobody else to blame, as all the other student's arrows had hit the training target. He took some pleasure, especially at hitting those bunny ears. Maybe they wouldn't look so damned cute anymore.

Lourette saw the leveret shoot the arrow, and she saw it change flight in midair, heading straight for her. Growling softly, she swiftly sidestepped, but the arrow still grazed her right ear, nicking it. Again, Lourette's ears flopped over, and she laughed. "Ah, so you think it's funny shooting at me, eh?" she asked, storming over to the boy who had made that fatal error. The viera towered over the boy, and, with a powerful backhand slap to his face, sent him sprawling onto the ground.
"Damn you humans!" Lourette screeched, the evil aura that was 'singing' around her beginning to storm into a whirl of dissonant chords. She stood over the cowering boy, slowly and deliberately putting her bow down to draw her rapier once more. "And I believe you are the one who dared make that remark about cutting off rabbit's ears... So, how would you like it if I cut off your ears? Or, better yet, I could just castrate you, as to keep you from spreading any of that stupidity..." Smirking, she leaned down, crouching over the boy's midriff, her swordpoint tickling the leveret's throat. Slowly, the dissonant aura calmed down to the melodic harmony once more, sweeter than honey or angel's voices. As soon as she knew that the boy was more than afraid of her, Lourette stood up, dealt a swift kick to the boy's nether regions, and stormed off. "Now, be sure to hit the target, leverets," she growled, reaching up and touching the ear that was nicked by the arrow. It was bleeding, alright, but it wasn't a bad cut. It should heal quickly...
Her gaze flicked back to Gaius, and she gave him a small smile that said 'I know you did this,' but at the same time, it also held a small glimmer of thankfulness in it. She was glad that she could get some of that pent-up rage out of her system that built up for no reason. Besides, she had all the right to beat the crap out of those leverets if she so desired. After all, they were being stupid.

A quick smile that lasted no more than a fraction of the second slipped across his face as the boy got utterly thrashed for no reason. He also enjoyed listening to the rage and annoyance as it screamed and soared out of her body. All because of his doing. As much as he hated the druids, they did lead him to learn the magical skills he knew know, much as that was their downfall. Well, revenge is a dish best served cold.
He also slightly enjoyed that he had caused pain to the girl who constantly flirted with him. Then again, she flirted with everyone. Too annoying. Which is why he cast a scowl at her small smile. Yes, he had caused the other student's evil thoughts to simmer down, but he didn't exactly want her to be grateful towards him. God, he hated that fine, fine, fine line between good and evil Sometimes, one mistook one for the other.
