"Sir, we've caught another member of the Order." A soldier said with a sharp salute.
"Another one? Well, they have the courage of entering Du Aurella, I'll give them that. But they really need to work on their blending skills." The dark haired general sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. "It looks like Lord Nikanoru will be having a fun night." Laties said as he placed his hand on the hilt of his sword with a small look of pity on his face. Unlike the soldier who stood before him, he was not dressed in the bulky plate armor not the imperial uniform. The general stood in the crowded area of the bazaar in a simple pair of 'baggy' black pants with a white design going down the sides and a aqua marine colored belt tied securly around his waist.
For a moment, he stared at the soldier as his other hand waved near his face in attempt to create a small breeze to cool him down. Though he could easily create a breeze to surround himself and keep him cool, he choose not to. The marketplace was indeed the most humid part of the city with the highest number of sweat drenched bodies moving and rubbing against each other to get by and the smell of god knows what made the general want to throw up and never again step out of the warm waters of a bath. To add on with the people and the odd smells, the sun was at it's peek and beamed down on the bazaar.
"Aren't you dying in that?" he asked.
The soldier shook his head, "No, sir." He replied. Obviously, lying.
Laties sighed as he shook his head and returned the sharp salute with his own lazy one. "Off with you, and go away. Talk to your commanding officer. I'm here on a break."
"But si-"
"Don't but me, I've worked every single day in the past three months to the break of dawn training those stupid pages. I am taking a break."
The soldier nodded, knowing the general temper would change if he kept the conversation going and quickly vanished into the crowd leaving the General to avoid bumping into a group of large sweat soaked men. "Disgusting..." he murmured as he quickly made his way through the crowd, stopping at random stands when something caught his interest, such as a stand selling large chunks of chocolate treats.
Chocolate, one of the general's many many weaknesses. The sinful treat never ceased his drooling. "Ma'am, may I have a pound of this." he asked with no hesitation as he pointed to the chocolates in shape of tiny balls. The woman nodded before she looked at him and a flash of fear crossed her eyes. "H-here, no charge, really." she said nervously as she held the bag out for him to take. A frown fell over Laties' face before he smiled slightly and took the bag and dropped a golden coin in her hands. "Is this enough?" he asked as he quickly popped the sweet into his mouth.
The woman looked at the golden coin in shock and held it out to him, "It's too much! I can't take it, please sir. Take it back. No charge!" Laties shook his hand and laughed. "No, no, keep it." He quickly took a few steps back before he walked off, ignoring the cries of the seller to take back his money. Inwardly, he sighed, not that he blamed her, several people were afraid of the Imperials and they would do anything not to anger them.
Laties shrugged as he dropped the small bag into his side back and placed his left hand on the hilt of his sword and began strolling around the bazaar. "Oh, well." he mumbled as he began his search for anything of interest.
