The Elven race is a very secluded, withdrawn species, preferring to stay out of the quarrels of man and instead remain in their homes in the North Mountains. Quite in touch with nature and with a natural understanding for animals and plants, Elves are capable of certain types of magic, sometimes varying between each Elven, their family, the surroundings in which they grew up etc. All Elves have a natural increase in speed and a slight increase in strength and to this effect, are known moreso for their speed. Most Elven warriors and hunters prefer the use of a long sword to a broad sword and they are also well known to be quite skilled in the art of archery.
The Elven race is also gifted with extended youth, allowing members of its race to live for centuries without feeling the strain of time, however they are not immortal and come the age of around 500 they will certainly be feeling the effects of elderly handicaps. A proud and graceful race, Elves also have amazing balance and grace and very rarely stumble or fall. Like cats, they nearly always land on their feet. It is found that there are very few differences between the male and female Elves, in power purposes at least, although it is found that females are slightly more in touch with their magic than males, whom train themselves physically rather than in their magic skills.
The easiest way to identify an Elven is by their ears, which are quite like that of humans only with a point at the tip of their ear rather than a rounded curve like that of the human. Elves are also known to have very vibrant eyes, bearing a certain glow to them, colourful or otherwise. Whilst most Elves remain content in the Northern Mountains, some venture from their safe quarters to roam the lands of man. Some join the Order of Lumen, others simply make their way through the land.
After all, who knows how long it will be before Osirus attempts to take the Northern Mountains from the Elves anyway?
