Oh dear, it seems that I'm in school once again. Bah, ninth grade certainly is very tough compared to middle school. XP
Anyway, I'm on right now in Civics class, and my sweet teacher's allowing me to get on! Well, she isn't really. Actually, she has no clue. But, what she doesn't know doesn't hurt her...or me for that matter...right? =D
Anyway, stupid internet filters are blocking out the c-box, so I can't chat there, so I'm just having to chat here, okay! Love you all! =3

Awww. Poo filters. Man, I had my first day back at the college campus for a fifth semester yesterday and I damn near collapsed when I got home! XD It was hot and like an idiot, I wore jean pants and a black t-shirt. O.o I was freaking wiped out by the end of the day!
So ninth grade huh? That year was so long ago for me...Geez. O.o I feel old...

Dude, I feel your pain. Unfortunately, we don't get to wear whatever we want. We have uniforms. XP Ugly things, they are, and I hate them. D=
But, luckily, I have great teachers.

I'm back to school on Wednesday.. I believe that over there in the US it would be 7th grade. Here we call it First Year. ^_^ All the funny differences.
You have no idea how long it took me to work your one out and I'm still a bit iffy.

Hmm uhh.. Well... It pretty much goes 1st year, 2nd year, Junior Cert(which is sort of like this big test year that's important for getting a job) then in some schools you have to option to do what they call 'Transition Year' or 'TY' which is pretty much a fun dossy year where you don't get homework, and it's sort of giving you a break between Junior Cert and the start of your Leaving Cert course...
Then you have 5th year, which is the start of the studying, and then you have Leaving Cert year. Leaving Cert is the huge big exam year where you determine if you're getting into college on the basis of CAO points (Central Applications Office)
Umm, hmm, that's what I can think of for the moment...

Ha ha indeed. Before the 1st years etc. we have classes. Look, lemme show you..
Junior Infants - 4/5 years Senior Infants - 5/6 years 1st Class - 6/7 years 2nd Class - 7/8 years 3rd Class - 8/9 years 4th Class - 9/10 years 5th Class - 10/11 years 6th Class - 11/12 years
Then we move into Secondary School..
1st Year - 12/13 2nd Year - 13/14 3rd Year/Junior Cert - 14/15 (Optional)Transition Year - 15/16 5th Year - 15/16/17 (depends if you did TY) Leaving Cert(nobody EVER calls it 6th year.. EVER) - 16/17/18
But then people repeat the Leaving Cert if they're not happy with their points - or some people go off to College, get a degree, then go back and do their Leaving Cert to get a degree in something else.
For example, my cousin just finished her 2nd year in college but she's not happy with her course so now she's going back to do her Leaving Cert year again and she's 20. So yeah..

Oh, I live in gloomy UK here's our schooling thing -
Below the age of 4 - Nursery
Primary school (when you start wearing a uniform...) 4-5 years old - year 1 5-6 years old - year 2 6-7 years old - year 3 7-8 years old - year 4 8-9 years old - year 5 9-10 years old - year 6 Secondary school (But we just call it High school ^^)
10-11 years old - year 7 11-12 years old - year 8 12-13 years old - year 9 13-14 years old - year 10 (This is when you choose your 'option subjects' as my school likes to call it. So you drop every other subject apart from maths, English, P.E, humanities, science and you get to choose 5 subjects from a list which you will then take for GCSE. For example I took Drama, music , art and Graphics (making things, like carpentry but with paper and PCs! ^^) 14-15/16 years old - year 11 (That's my year woot!)
Then there's 6th form which is kind of like... you left school but... Not just yet. AND NOW YOU LOOSE THE UNIFORM! PARTY!!!
So college. Its nothing like America. Apparently so my aunt says (who is American, shes so nice... Enough waffling!) you leave home and go to college is that true? Our college is you study up to 4 subjects of your own choice and you can get qualifications which in theory, mean you don't need to go to University because you have enough skills. But some people need more skills for example if you want to be a brain surgeon! So you go to University which I am guessing, is just like your college. Where you leave home- live in dorms for a few years etc.
On holiday, I went to Washington and stayed with my aunt's sis. Her daughter had gone to Rhode Island (hope that's how you spell it) to go to college, and she couldn't understand English schooling! I had never really thought of schooling in other countries to be different... Until then :3

Well, sorta...Like, for example, here's what its like in the US.
4-5 yrs - Pre-School 5-10 yrs - School. 10-14 yrs - Middle school. 14-18 yrs - High school
From High school, you can go to Junior College (Public College, essentially. You don't need any sort of prerequisites with the exception of taking the High School exiting exam, and taking an assessment test before entering.) Generally takes 2-4 yrs to graduate with a AA or BA, depending on what you do during those years. Then there are also programs that you can do, kind of like vocational school with the exception of having to have your GE filled, or "General Education". Then, once you have a AA and your GE filled, you can go to a University (if you have the money, which is where I'm stuck.)
Or, if you did well enough in High School and have the money, you can go straight to a university to spend anywhere from 2yrs to 10 yrs schooling.
Then there is vocational schools which deal in one major. Like carpentry or something like that.
At least, that's what I know. I'm not the smartest person though...XD
