It was cold, it was dark, it was dank.
She was hungry (for actual food, for once in her life), her magic was running low, and she thought she would freeze to death...
But her mind wasn't set on anything like that.
Her mind was set on one person, and one person only.
Eros.
Titania sat at the entrance to one of the small caves, one of the white fur coats Eros brought along draped over her slender shoulders. Her staff was held like a small child in her arms, and, though she tried not to show it, each inhale of the cold mountain air made her teeth chatter, and each exhale released a small cloud of fog.
Deeper inside, Oberon lay around a small pile of sticks Titania managed to scrounge up from some of the cliffs. There was barely a glow in them, and, despite the dragon's fervent attempts to keep the small fire burning, it seemed there was little to no hope that there would be much warmth besides that which they held within their bodies.
Why was Titania outside in the cold, while Oberon was deeper inside with the fire (or what would've been one)?
She was scared. She had to think. And practically freezing herself to death (considering she has no body fat whatsoever to at least keep her somewhat warm) seemed to be doing nothing at all.
But she wanted to keep watch. She had heard rumors of Shade living up in these caves and, though she and Eros had managed to find one that was uninhabited, there could be some close by that hold the Shade within them.
...And they probably wouldn't be friendly...
But she had to think. She had to figure out a way to do this.
I'm doing this for Eros... Titania thought bitterly, biting her lip. I need to stay strong...for his sake...

Two months. It had already been two months since he had left the castle with Titania. Two months since he had last seen his family, since he had last slept in a bed, since he had last been imprisoned. The castle, while his home, was also a prison for the young Prince Eros. The King and Queen, even as his parents, treated him with less respect than that of a dog. And while he missed his sister terribly, she had fallen to the same dark force as his father. Two months since Titania and he had left the castle to go on to their journey. Their journey was an important one. Eros knew he had no choice but to succeed and while the information was scattered and fuzzy, he knew there was something he had to do. She had told him, she had come to him with a message.
Erosceles, you need to go the highest mountain and the deepest depths. There, you will find the pendant, the power you need to change the world. With this pendant, you will be able to help your friends in need.
Eros had decided to follow the voice. It was the only voice he had heard in so long that had such a caring, a loving tune to it. It was absolute and justified. Eros knew exactly where the voice had come from, who had called him. But even so, filled with the light of Lumen, he was still afraid. Huddled in this cave, shivering, Eros could only wonder and hope that they would be able to get to the mountains. The travel by dragon had been a splendid ride, something that he would not forget in a long time. But the moment they reached their destination in the North, Eros' happy moments were dashed. It was cold; when they had arrived, it was still summer. But now it was early fall and the weather had turned for the worse. Rain, sleet, and snow fell without reason, even though they had not even reached the snowy peaks of the Sacred Lake, their destination.
Their provisions were running low and what little they did have were already rotting and molding away. They had run out of water some time ago and were forced to melt snow or boil water from nearby creeks. Both Titania and Eros were starving and while they had attempted to hunt, Eros hadn't been able to bring himself to kill. Sitting in the cold cave, Eros sat with his knees drawn up under the dirty white fur coat close to Oberon. His eyes stared at the pile of sticks that had attempted to become a fire. Laties' sword was strapped to his back. His appearance was becoming less of that of a perfect Prince and one of survival. His white outfit was torn in many places and the ornate design of the clothes were ill fit for the cold.
Closing his eyes for a moment, Eros thought about how far they had seemed to walk the dark and damp path through the Sasakra forest. It was as if they had been walking for years and never seemed to make progress. It was as if they were stuck, trapped within a bubble void of time. It was frustrating. But most of all, it was frightening. The young prince, so brilliantly touched by Lumen, did not need to know what had happened in the last two months. After all, he had felt it. He had felt the drastic change with Nocens Atrum's power. He knew something would have had to happen to his father, something terrible, for that to happen. And while he did not enjoy his life within the castle, he still felt some odd emotion of sadness towards the man's loss of life. The whole sense of darkness and light had been ripped from its even shift, thrown into chaos. It made him sick.
Sighing, Eros stood as he walked over to Titania, drawing his coat tightly around him as he neared the cold mouth of the cave. His eyes fell on her shivering form sadly. She's so kind...to follow me into this dreadful place...and I can't do a single thing... He thought to himself. If nothing else had happened in these past two months that were worth noting, it would be the fact that Eros had gone through a minor change. He was beginning to see the dangerous world he lived in. After having been locked away for all his childhood, he was getting his first glance at the world...and all of its unfair rules. He had grown somewhat, matured if even just a little.
Coming to her side, he sat next to her, sitting close so that he could share what body warmth with her he could provide. "Its very dark out there..." He said lightly.

"You shouldn't be out here, Majesty..." Titania murmured, "It's--" her voice was cut off as she covered her mouth with one hand to stifle a cough. "It's too cold out here for you to have to suffer, too..." Even though she was saying things like that, it was...nice...to have someone there. Especially Eros. He was so kind, so gentle, so--
"Titania..."
The necromancer was snapped out of her thoughts to see Oberon standing beside her (opposite Eros). Staring at his master, the huge dragon stared at the two for a second, then smiled. "I'll take next watch. You two go ahead and warm yourselves up. And Titania..." the dragon's cold cerulean eyes seemed to bore into the necromancer girl's very soul, "Please, don't overwork yourself..."
Giving the dragon a weak smile, Titania nodded. "Of course," she said teasingly. Standing up, Titania held one hand out to Eros. "Come on, Majesty. We should really warm ourselves up..."
As the two moved, Oberon placed himself at the mouth of the cave, partially blocking it, as to prevent the cold winds from entering and freezing the two children any more than necessary. Poor Titania... the dragon thought, shaking his massive head, The things she does for love...
Once Eros was standing, Titania, her hand still holding the prince's, walked deeper into the cave, finally sitting down near the glowing sticks that could've been a fire if she had enough magic. Hell, if she had enough power in her, she could create a fire in midair. She could create numerous fires in midair!
But the cold, sad truth was, she couldn't. And there she was, freezing, coming down with a cough, and practically dying of starvation (although she always was starving in the literal sense). But at least she was with Eros. That was one part of this terrifying journey that wasn't going to be a regret.
Really, if it made Eros happy, Titania wouldn't regret a thing. Even if she died, she would at least know that she helped not only the entirety of Alyssus, but the one she loved...

As Eros moved with Titania to the back of the cave, he sat with Titania next to the sticks. However, he didn't let go of her hand. It was the only thing that truly kept Eros from completely losing it in fear. Even if he didn't show it, he was worried about their situation. After a moment, he drew his knees up again, his other hand taking a stick and poking at the rest.
"Titania...do you think we made a mistake? Maybe we should have waited..." He muttered. Even if his journey was an important one, one that Lumen herself sent him on, he was beginning to second guess his decision to do this. He could feel Titania's cold fingers under his gloves, he could see her shivering, and the hungered look in her eyes.
"Its scary here and...I'm worried about you..." He said, his innocent blue eyes staring at the sticks.
"I know this is supposed to be important...but...we're not even close to the mountain and...I haven't heard her voice in a long time..." He said, slowly glancing at Titania. Titania knew who she was. Eros had told Titania the story of how Lumen spoke to him in dreams and talked to him. He had poured out all of his trust into her at the beginning of this journey and filled Titania with every known fact Lumen had given to Eros. While he was proud to be the messenger and representation of Lumen, he was still human. And he was still full of fear and hesitation. But before, Lumen would speak to him often and Eros would tell Titania everything she had said. But now, Eros was worried. Lumen had grown quiet. They had lost their only sense of direction and hope.

Titania, who had been staring with half-lidded eyes at the dying embers, didn't catch most of what Eros had said to her, until 'I'm worried about you...'
The girl's eyes widened, and she looked up, smiling feebly. "If anything, I should be the worried one, Majesty... Here I am, low on magic, and..." She paused as she took in the fact that Lumen wasn't speaking to him anymore.
"Perhaps I am at fault for that as well..." the necromancer murmured, looking back down at the embers. "It's only right that Lumen should be angry at a servant of Nocens Atrum for traveling with her messenger..." Biting her lip, Titania fought back the tears of bitter misery that threatened to come forth (but it was good that she fought them, because if she didn't, they would probably freeze right there on her eyelashes). "Maybe..."
A bolt of blue lightning barely grazing the side of Titania's head snapped her out of her bitter thoughts. She opened her eyes again to see her dragon, a fearsome look on his face, his mouth open, revealing his sharp fangs, and smoke trailing from a corner of his mouth.
Titania! Do NOT think such idiotic thoughts! Oberon's voice, vicious and fierce, sounded in the mage girl's head. I don't think you would've gotten this far if Lumen didn't want you to go along with Eros! Don't be a fool and kick yourself for things you haven't done! The dragon, his voice now considerably softer, said, This boy depends on you. He NEEDS you. Without you, he would, without a doubt, be dead by now... Giving a snort, the dragon turned around, returning to his former position.
Gritting her teeth, Titania narrowed her eyes at her dragon, and even contemplated getting rid of him for the moment. With the extra magic, she could easily start a fire...but the winds were getting strong, and Oberon there to block most of them was definitely a help...
Oberon, the necromancer thought, Maybe you're right... Maybe we need each other to make our way through this... Maybe Lumen is just waiting for the right moment...
Maybe... the dragon replied. Or maybe the answer we seek is right under our noses...

Ooc: I wasn't sure if you were going to lead the event on this or not, but if you've got an idea, please tell me and I'll change this! ^_^
Eros cringed in shock when Oberon and Titania began their unheard trifle. Eros knew he couldn't hear what Oberon and Titania were speaking of, but he also knew that they were the closest of partners. They were friends, beings who relied on each other. For Oberon to have shocked Titania with a sign like that could only suggest to Eros that he heavily disagreed with what Titania had just said. For a moment, he simply cast his eyes between the two several times before settling on Titania again. He gripped her hand tightly for a second, looking up at her with a faint smile on his pale lips.
"Titania, Lumen doesn't think like that. I've heard her kind voice, felt her warm aura...she doesn't care if you worked for my father. In fact, for just coming with me, she's very thankful! She's not selfish like her brother, who wishes for anyone associated with her to vanish..." Eros said, trying to cheer her up. After a minute of silence, he released her hand and stood up.
"We have to have faith in her. We have to believe that she'll guide us through this..." He said. In the distance, a sharp crack was heard. It was like someone had slammed a hammer into a stone wall, the splintering was loud and echoing. Only, it was so faint to the ear, only Oberon could have possibly heard it. Then, the sounds of appeared to be a rushing river came blasting through. Only, it wasn't water. Rocks were falling at such a rate, it seemed they would be swallowed in an instant. The cave was collapsing.

OoC:// Nah, what you've started sounds good. I'll just go with it. =D
At first, Oberon heard the cracking and realized that his lightning bolt had not only startled Titania, but had destroyed something deeper in the cave, resulting in the collapsing rocks.
"You two! You have to get out!" the dragon roared, and, with speed surprising for a dragon his size, bolted past the two, spreading out his wings to shield them from some falling rocks.
Seeing the cave begin to collapse, Titania immediately stood, grasping Eros' hand and pulling him up. "Come on, Majesty. We have to get out of here..." she said, her eyes obviously flashing with worry. Biting down on her lower lip, the necromancer braced herself for the bitter cold as she stepped out into the swirling snows. She could see Oberon trying to escape now, but a rock, almost as large as he, pinned the big dragon down. As much as he struggled, shot lightning bolts from his mouth, and flapped his wings, the rock wouldn't budge. Slowly, but surely, however, the cave continued collapsing, until the dragon was completely buried.
Finally, the only noise was the howling winds.
Titania stood rooted to that spot, her eyes wide.
"Oberon..." she murmured. She knew he wasn't dead, but she was way too weak to perform a spell that would free him from the rocks and place him before the two. "I can't believe this..." She had to bite down hard on her tongue to keep from wailing out in pure anguish. Her closest companion, one she had since she was barely half as tall as she was today, was gone. Not for good, but...they were always together...
"Oberon..." she muttered, feeling hot tears trickle down her face. "I'm so sorry..."

Eros had almost no time to react before he was wrenched from his place and dragged towards the cave's mouth. Tripping and stumbling, Titania managed to drag him out of the cave just before the cave's mouth collapsed shut, eating the dragon inside. Falling to his knees in the snow, breath escaping from him in puffs as the howling winds and biting cold. His eyes were wide with shock, breathing hard from the run for life Titania had just dragged him through. As Titania cried out for the dragon, Eros couldn't help but stare in shock. they had just been in that cave, safe from the horrid winds not mere seconds ago. Now that same cave that had provided shelter and safety was a death trap. The journey had just claimed its first victim. As the shock of what was happening began to wear away and he truly noticed what had happened, Eros felt something he hadn't felt in months. A true sadness gripped his heart with such pain, he reached up to grab his chest as if to hold his heart together.
Before he could stop them, hot tears began to fall down his cheeks. as he winced from the pain in his chest. "Oberon..." he muttered. He closed his eyes to try and stop the tears from falling, but they just wouldn't stop. Oberon...he protected us...why is this happening? Why did you take him from us? Eros let out a sob. For a long time, they sat there in the snow. The biting winds were harsh as the night grew deeper. Then, without warning, a tremendous cold force slammed into Titania, sending her flying to the side.
Eros gasped, standing up quickly. "Titania!" He screamed. But his yell was swallowed by the wind. Eros rushed forward, but before he could get to her, suddenly the snow under his feet erupted, sending the young prince flying into the base of a tree where he slumped against the snow covered trunk.
"Ha ha ha! Is this all the children of Lumen can offer? Pathetic!" Came a voice just as icy as the snow around them. Standing before Titania and Eros was a tall, thin figure. Its long arms dangled by its side, its long legs seeming to disappear in the snow below. A creature with a pointed face and billowing white hair looked down upon them with slanted blue eyes. A snow spirit. He looked as if he were composed of ice crystals, his long arms and legs covered in the deep blue crystals. With one swipe of his arm, the howling winds ceased and the snowing clouds cleared to reveal a bright moon that painfully illuminated the forest around them.
"Hmph, and I had hoped for a bit of fun..." He muttered as he walked towards the fall prince.

Titania was too busy mourning over the fact that her best friend--her dear Oberon--was gone to notice the fact that the winds had gotten slightly fiercer after they exited the cave. What she did, notice, however, was the crushing blow that was dealt to her right side, sending her flying off. She must've flew about twenty feet before falling into the snow, and she probably slid for another five feet before coming to a stop. Struggling to her feet, Titania clutched her right side, gritting her teeth together. That blow probably broke a couple of her ribs, if not more. Using her staff as support, the necromancer struggled to her feet, helplessly watching as the snow spirit walked toward Eros. Even if she ran at full speed, she couldn't get to the prince in time. She could cast a spell, but it would deplete what little magic she had left. But when it came down to it, necessity (and her love for Eros) came before her own life.
She was going to summon a fire imp, and hope that it would be smart enough to realize that the one attacking her close friend was the enemy. If it didn't work the first time, she had enough magic to try it twice more, so...it was a risk, but it was one she would have to take.
Raising her staff above her head, Titania began quickly chanting the incantation. Above her head, a tiny demon appeared in a flash of red flame. It looked like a typical demon, with a pair of horns on its tiny head, a pair of small wings (that never flapped), a slim body, and a small, lizardlike tail. In its arms was a small lit torch. Dropping her staff, Titania watched as the imp lit itself on fire and, at an unnatural speed, flew straight for the snow spirit.
Titania narrowed her eyes as the imp got closer and closer to the snow spirit. She would've tried to run to Eros as well, but the pain in her side (her ribs weren't actually broken, but she was going to get a bad bruise), was so horrid, she couldn't even move...
Is the journey going to end here? Titania thought bitterly to herself. It can't end here. It just CAN'T. Eros is the only one who can hear Lumen's voice, and if he--
She couldn't bear to think of anything that may happen.

The snow spirit hissed as Titania sent the fire imp at him. With a wave of its arm, the snow spirit attempted to freeze the fire spirit. However, he had underestimated Titania's magic. The fire imp slashed right through the snow spirit's icy chest. With a hiss of pain and a blast of steam, the snow spirit lunged into the snow. After the echoes of the snow spirit calmed, the still air seemed to shimmer in anticipation. Eros groaned as he slowly sat up, one hand going to his head where he felt a warm sticky liquid slowly moving down the side of his face. As he got to his knees, he looked down at his hand, his face lighting up in fear as he realized what the crimson liquid was. Blood. The red liquid had easily seeped through the white material of his clothing. As the daze wore off, Eros quickly looked around.
"Titania!" His voice echoed through the forest. With the winds and snow still, he could plainly see her in the bright moonlight. Quickly shaking off the snow from his fur coat, he raced towards her, trying to move through the soft snow.
"Titania, are you alright?" He called. Slowly, he made his way to Titania's side, collapsing in the snow next to her on his knees. Placing a soft hand on her shoulder, he looked at her in worry.
"Titania..." But just as it seemed as if things were going to end, a sharp screeching laughter filled the night air. Eros gasped, quickly turning to where the snow spirit had dove into the snow. But nothing was there. The laughter got louder and louder. Eros could feel his heart in his throat. What do I do? I'm not a warrior! I have never fought anything! I'm so afraid.... Eros thought, closing his eyes in fear. It was then he suddenly remembered the sword on his back. Shakily, he reached for it, pulling it from its sheath. The sword was heavier than he had expected as the heavy blade fell into the snow, his arms barely able to hold it up. Laties taught me how to use a sword...but...but this thing is too heavy! His sword, I can barely lift it! How am I supposed to use it!? He could feel panic crawling up his spine as the laughter suddenly ceased.
"D-don't worry Titania...I-I won't let him hurt you again..." Eros said, trying to block the nervousness in his voice.
"Heheheheh...you think your pathetic little sword is going to harm me? You can't even lift it!" Came the snow spirit's voice. Then, without warning, a cascade of snow fell from the trees above onto Eros, covering him. The snow spirit appeared again, leaping from the heap of snow. He turned his eyes to Titania, growling.
"You think your puny little fire imp would get rid of me?" As he inhaled to prepare for his next attack, the heap of snow that had buried Eros shuddered and began to fall away as Eros climbed from the white mound. Gasping for breath, he pulled himself free, the sword still in hand. He looked at the snow spirit and frowned.
"Don't you dare attack Titania! She's my friend and I won't let you harm her!" He yelled. The snow spirit turned to him and chuckled.
"Oh, a brave little insect...I think I'll have to teach you a lesson! No mortal sword will harm me!" The snow spirit mocked. Without warning, the spirit disappeared. Eros quickly looked around, trying to find him. Then, a flash of white slammed Eros from the side. Eros whirled around, slashing in that direction. But it was already too late. The spirit was gone. Another white flash and Eros was slammed from the other side. But once again, Eros couldn't manage to hit the spirit in time. He looked as if he were trying to swat a fly with a sword twice as big as him. Gasping for breath, he struggled to contain the pain in his sides. The spirit was playing with him, toying with him like a cat does with a mouse before the final killing strike. The spirit slammed into the prince two more times before Eros fell to his knees in the snow again, the spirit laughing as it hovered above them.
"I think I've heard of you! You're the pathetic prince that was locked away since birth! You're nothing but a milksop, a babe without a mother! You could never even begin to think you could fight me! That girl over there is more of a match than you!" The spirit taunted.

"Eros!" Titania cried, seeing her friend being tossed about like a ragdoll. Again, she felt so helpless, not only because she couldn't do anything, but also because she could only watch as Eros was beat back and forth like he weighed nothing.
Though the necromancer was still weakened, she prepared to launch another spell, this one, should it be cast correctly, drain her completely of her magic, but it should keep the snow spirit from bothering them again... Raising her staff once more, Titania again struggled to her feet (she had fallen to her knees from weakness after summoning the fire imp). Slowly, the incantation flowed from her mouth like water flows down a creek. As she spoke, she was so focused on getting the incantation right that she didn't notice the slight shifts in the collapsed cave behind her. She was about to speak the final word of the summon when, as it seemed, Lumen intervened.
A bolt of blue lightning shot forth from the collapsed cave, and, dragging himself, torn, bleeding, and pretty banged up (putting it lightly) was Oberon. The huge dragon freed himself from the rubble and struggled to his feet, a snarl on his face. While he seemed docile and kind most of the time, at the moment, even with his broken wings, torn scales, and gaping wounds, he was quite the fearsome sight to behold.
"You, who dares attack my master and her beloved, be gone!" the dragon roared, shooting another bolt of lightning from his maw. "Death to those who fight my masters!"
Titania had a medley of emotions buzzing about in her head. First was the sheer joy that her closest friend was alive, second was the rage at the spirit for hurting Eros, and third...
Well, let's just say that Oberon saying Eros was Titania's 'beloved' sort of rubbed her the wrong way a bit.

The snow spirit let out a shrill cry as the lightening ripped through its body, decimating the spirit as it seemed to explode into a mass of snow and ice. The hard chunks of ice fell about Eros and Titania like rain, making loud thuds in the snow. Eros knelt there, gasping as a cold sweat dripped down his face. But despite his scraps and bruises, he sat there in awe. Oberon had managed to cheat death and escape the rocky prison of the collapsed cavern. Swallowing a breath of air, he shakily got to his feet, his hands still clamped on the ex-General's sword.
"O-Oberon!" Seeing the dragon alive was a massive relief. He stood there for a moment, catching his breath before he turned to Titania, walking towards her as he dragged the sword in the snow.
"Titania...are you alright?" He asked. The snow in his hair and face were melting with the warmth of his breath as he examined her for a moment.
"Are you injured?" He asked, dropping the sword.

Titania shook her head. "Maybe just a few bruises here and there. What I should be concerned about, Majesty, is you... That spirit certainly seemed to--"
"At least I managed to get out in time! Who knows what that spirit could've been capable of?" Oberon murmured. Despite his horrible injuries (much worse than Titania's and Eros' combined), the dragon struggled over to his mistress and the prince, staining the snow red as he walked. Finally, after what seemed like hours to both the dragon and the necromancer, the three stood in almost a perfect triangle.
"Oberon..." Titania murmured, her eyes filling with tears. "I can't believe it..."
"Well, Titania..." the dragon replied, his eyes also tearing, "Believe it..."
Despite their own wounds, the two, dragon and master, locked in a tearful embrace. Titania couldn't hold back her sobs any longer, and as she cried into the dragon's chest (which had been spared from any injury due to the tough scales that protected it), Oberon held out one arm to Eros.
"There's room for one more, your Majesty..." the dragon said, a smile on his face.

Eros smiled. Despite the injuries and desperation they had been facing the past few hours, they were still all together. It was surely a miracle that Oberon had managed to survive the collapse of the cage and Titania and Eros were a little worse for wear, but alright. As Eros moved to complete the trio, something made him stop in his tracks. His face fell from relief to one of tension as a terrible knot formed in his gut. He frowned, trying to figure out why he was feeling so uneasy. Suddenly, the feeling grew stronger and Eros whirled around. The spirit...he's still not gone! Eros realized. Quickly turning, he looked to Titania and Oberon.
"He's not gone!" He yelled. Just as he finished his last word, the snow around them began to tremble. Eros gasped, looking to his feet. The snow began to shift and move, gripping each of their legs in a tight grip. Eros, trying to find his balance, quickly grabbed the sword before it was taken from him, holding it above the snow. Behind him, the snow was churning around Oberon and Titania, climbing up their legs and freezing into an iron grip. Then, not more than a few feet from in front of Eros, the snow once again exploded. Only this time, the lithe form of the spirit didn't come forth, but a huge creature which looked like a wolf. The beast was huge, easily twice Oberon's size. Its massive jaws were open, showing its icy blue teeth as it growled. Its entire body was made of snow.
"You fools," it bellowed. "I will not be defeated by such petty means! I am a spirit of element! You cannot kill me!" It howled. Eros winced as the ice around his legs began to freeze is muscles, making it impossible to move. The beast glared at the three. The snow spirit inhaled, preparing for its next attack. No! Its still not dead? But why?
"Eros, when facing an enemy who seems to have no weakness, you've got to use your brains."
"But Laties...what kind of enemy wouldn't you be able to beat?"
"There are many things, Eros. But listen, you've got to use your head! If you're facing an enemy with a strong fist, attack his weapon, break his form of attack. If your enemy is using magic, attack with its opposite element..."
Eros gasped, his eyes lighting up. Opposite element...Ice is an element...what's the opposite of ice? Fire? Fire! That's it! We've got to use fire! But that didn't work the first time...but what if we combine it? Eros blinked. He knew what had to be done. Glancing over his shoulder, he held up the sword.
"Titania! Fire! Use your spell on this sword! Its the only way we can beat him!" Eros called out.

Titania, at first, felt as if they would be able to move on with this journey together, but that warmth of hope immediately turned to the bitter cold of despair as her, Oberon's, and Eros' legs were all frozen and the huge ice wolf appeared out of the snow. She felt the bitter cold against her legs and wanted to cry out not only with the sharp bite of the ice against her thinly-clad legs, but also with the sudden change from hope to despair. She didn't think they would ever get through this until--
"Use your spell on this sword! It's the only way we can beat him!"
Of course! Why didn't she think of that! Raising her staff above her head (or as best as she could, considering she was still almost plastered to Oberon), and began chanting the incantation.
"Costhine Molinka Napthal Flamarikan Dekonus Sabrae Lalaoth!"
Near the sword, another fire imp appeared, a wicked grin on its face, the lit torch flickering viciously in the night. As it lit itself on fire, the imp flew around the sword about six times before finally landing on the sword and dissolved, setting the blade ablaze with bright red flames. Eros could feel a gentle warmth (from the fire imp's power) coursing through his veins, and along with it, a newfound power.
Bracing herself against Oberon, who held his mistress tightly, Titania squeezed her eyes shut, knowing that, if this did indeed work, the spirit could explode again...and the results of that could be painful...
Titania was now feeling weaker than ever. She needed to perform the ritual if she were to live. Of course, she hadn't performed this in a long time, and she wasn't sure if Nocens Atrum would appreciate the situation the girl was in... But desperate times call for desperate measures...
And this was definitely a desperate time...
