Aden coughed as the dust got into his lungs, but it didn't render him helpless. Over all the noise his ears picked up the sound of a blade coming towards him and he knew exactly which one it was. He jumped out of the way and quickly found it. He made sure not to touch the blade part of it. He cursed when he figure out where the assassin had gotten to. Aden was used to the heat that came with wearing dark clothes and he moved after him as a rapid pace. "Assassin, you should never leave a death up to chance." He said darkly from behind him. The dagger he had picked up was hidden in case he went for Dulcimer.
"You really should be smarter." Aden said drawing the poisoned blade and pointing it at the assassin. He didn't know if it was still poisoned, but no one killed one of his men if he could help it, "Step down." He ordered him. He held back the coughs that were coming with the amount of dust in his lungs. He would get some water later.

Draken stopped in his tracks. His adrenaline told him to keep going and that he couldn't afford any more mistakes with Osirus. Something else, weak and deep within him, pleaded that he stopped killing alltogether. He followed that voice once- Then he was beaten by Osirus on the spot.
"I won't surrender to you, cur!" He shouted. His wing went up to hit the dagger from his hand, then swung his whole body around for a kick to the gut before landing and going after Dulcimer.

Aden chuckled, "You won't huh?" He left the kick hit him, it left him winded, but he had been trained to fight past exhaustion. He moved faster then one normally would see him move and he stood in front of Dulcimer, "You are not killing this man!" He said looking dead on at Draken. There was a change that Lady Bassette, Azazeal and if Dulcimer was awake that they would notice. All easy going parts of the Leader was gone. They were staring at the warrior, the soldier in Aden that had lost his best friend, been wounded trying to protect people who didn't even care for him and who was going to give his life to defeat King Osiris.
Keeping his blades leveled he watched the assassin. "Why do you serve such a tyrant?! He'll only throw you into the Blood Chamber at one point! He thinks of his men as nothing more than insignificant creaturs that he can use as he pleases!" He said keeping himself in front of Dulcimer. Since the dagger was out of the way for the moment Aden wasn't too worried. He had himself in a position so that he could take almost any blow to Dulcimer.

He ignored Aden's reasoning. "Move, or I'll kill you as well!" He didn't wait for an answer or for him to move and went for a slash at Aden's chest.

"How can you kill me if you felt the need to flee from our battle a second ago?" Aden asked coldly. He was likely to bring this assassin to his knees now. He brought up both his weapons to block the attack, "You attack in an area I have the complete advantage and yet you think you can kill me?" He asked meeting the assassin's eyes with no fear.

Draken staggered back as his sword collided with Aden's. He stood ready for another, but knew he wouldn't have energy left for much more. Yet, he was determined to leave successful. Sweat beaded on his forehead from the heat and his last ounces of strength were being wasted against a target he couldn't beat. He wasn't used to this kind of combat, especially under these conditions. As he feigned an attack towards Aden, he turned quickly to a new target- Bassette. His hands locked around her shoulder in a vice-like grip and his sword was held dangerously close to her neck. "Drop- your- weapons..." he panted.

Aden cursed as he went for the last person that he had wanted and he did as told, "Fine...How about this, you let Dulcimer live since he is in no condition to fight and it's quite cowardly of an assassin to kill a target they've already put close to death. I'll let you have a free stab at me. After all, think of going back to Osiris with the news of not having killed your target, but instead killing the leader of the Order of Lumen. Wouldn't you be rewarded just as much as if you had brought back Luhma's head instead?" He asked using a quick thinking way of getting Bassette out of danger. He would much rather die then see the Prophet harmed. He looked at Azazeal and silently told him to do nothing...for now.
"Only thing is that you don't attack or kill me here, we do it outside because this hut it already bloody enough and I don't want Azazeal to have to clean up much more." Aden said remaining calm. The soldier appearence fading away. If this was how he was to die then be it. Azazeal would protect Lady Bassette as soon as the assassin entered the hut again. He could only pray that Lumen would let his death be undisturbed if this was how he was to die. He didn't need a young child watching Aden give his life up.

"And how can I trust you?" He hissed. The blade slowly began to ease away from the Prophet's neck, but Draken tried to make it look like he was the one doing it rather than his fatigue getting the best of him. "If I let go of her, how do I know you won't just turn around and ambush me?"

Aden hated going against his word, but he knew he had to in order to finish this. He wasn't going to do so yet though, "I'm not going to go against my word. To prove it to you we'll walk outside and I'll leave all my weapons here. You get a free stab and you are the one to decide if it kills me or not." He said noticing how he was moving. He knew he was tired, not many people who didn't live and train here could stand the heat. Aden had gotten quite sick when they first came here. "Leave Lady Bassette alone." Aden said placing his wrist weapons on the table along with another dagger and a smaller blade, "No weapons on me." He said raising his hands, waiting to see the other's reaction.

Draken watched, inspecting him from afar when he was done. He let his sword slide to his side, away from Bassette, but his hand was still locked on her shoulder. "Very well, then," he said, "I suppose it won't be much fun, but at least I can get out of this damned place."

"You walk out first so I know that you won't go and backstab me and hurt Lady Bassette." Aden said stepping away from his weapons so that it would be easier for Draken to kill him if he went for them. He didn't need Lady Bassette put into any danger. He looked at her softly and then to Azazeal, "Take care of Dulcimer and remind him of my words I told him a few days ago. He'll know what you mean if I don't come back in." Aden said before he stepped even farther away. "This all waits on you leaving the hut." Aden said looking at the other.

Draken took a moment, hesitating the offer over again, then finally let go of Bassette. "Your funeral," he muttered before walking out to the blazing heat. He went to the side of the hut, where the sun wasn't so baring and waited for Aden. The sooner the better, he thought. All this sunlight was torture on his pallid skin.

Aden gave a weak smile to them and said softly, "Don't be suprised if I don't come back immediatly. I gotta sell my death and see if he just leaves." He walked out and said, "Take you best shot assassin. One blow though and if I'm still alive I will fight back." He said opening his arms. He wasn't going to let it be a headshot and he could only rely on a few tricks he had up his sleeve to make sure it wasn't a fatal blow. Hopefully this man wasn't as thorough as he was faking it. Aden could see the fatigue in him and he hoped it would be the best. A lot of hoping for a man with little belief in hopes.

It was getting to the point where Draken's hands were reluctant to barely lift his own sword. Draken warily watched him come out, looking over him for weapons he might have grabbed on the way out. "You won't still be alive," he assured him, "And your dear friends shall join you in Hell in due time." His sword was gripped with both hands as he sauntered up to him, then used the remnants of his strength and adrenaline into one wide, horizontal slash at his gut.

Aden let it hit him and all at once the searing pain of being slash in the gut filled his mind. He was thinking fast and he decided laying on his chest was the best idea to keep the blood from moving so fast. If Draken made his way back to the door then Aden would bring out his secret weapon, but if he didn't then he was fine. Aden was quite glad that Draken didn't know fully of the enchantment that accompanied his armor and the stressful conditions that Aden had already lived through. The cut wasn't deep enough to immediatly kill him, but if he didn't move soon he would be in deep trouble.
He glanced a look up at Draken and he was glad to see what he did. The other was too tired. The sun had taken it's effects on him. Aden forced himself upwards, ignoring the pain in his chest that made him want to fall. Blood already covered his front half as he gave a weak grin, "Nice attack there." He always kept a single weapon with him, even if he said otherwise. "You didn't kill me though and if you make a move towards the hut I will make you regret it." Aden watched the other's movements. The general's hands were shaking from the blood he was loosing, but he should be able to live through it.
After all, this was basically the same conditions that had gotten him the scar across his back. He would now just have a matching one across his chest.
