Ooc:: This was originally started by Titania, but like an ass, I wasn't paying attention and deleted it by accident. Sorry Titania!
In the darkness of the garden, within the shadow of a towering tree was a broken marble bench. And, upon what was left of it sat a tall, gangly girl. Within the black shadow, all that could be seen were the wisps of purple magic flowing upward from a book, the hand placed upon the open pages, and the lenses of the glasses that were reflecting the dull glow. Soft breathing escaped from the girl's mouth as the magic pulsated up her arm, running through her veins into the reservoir of darkness in her heart. Soon, her breathing became heavier and heavier as more and more magic surged up into her until finally, her hand rose up from the book, breaking the circuit. Letting out a heavy sigh, Titania adjusted her glasses upon the bridge of her nose before tilting her staff a miniscule amount. Purple sparks shot forth from it, showering the space beside her. The sparks swirled about aimlessly for a second before finally assembling itself into a dragonlike form. After a second, the sparks dissapated, revealing a blue dragon. The huge beast let out a loud yawn, turquoise eyes staring at his mistress and summoner.
"You summoned me, Titania?" Oberon asked, a curious look in his eyes. "What have you summoned me for?"
"Oberon..." Titania whispered, her soft voice light and airy. "Please, I heard the chaos of mass slaughter going on within the castle, but I do not want to make myself known... Will you go and see how His Majesty fares?"
"Certainly," Oberon replied, nodding his massive head, before disappearing in a shower of black sparks.
Titania smiled softly and tilted her head upward, staring up at the stars. /Oh, Eros.../ she thought. /I wish I just had the bravery to look you in the eye, to smile at you, to say hello... But why can't I?!/
He was cold.
No...
He was freezing, but he would have much rather stay outside where the choking veil of darkness couldn't suffocate him.
Ever since the blood bath his father had committed in the Dining Hall, Eros couldn't get several notions out of his head. First was the dark hearted lack of action of his sister that night. He had cried out her name and she had done nothing to help him. He had been tossed aside like a rag doll by his father and Naahra had not done a single thing to help him. But hadn't the power of the pendant been broken when Laties took it? She had acted so nice and she even seemed to improve...but all of the sudden...why did she act that way?
Eros looked from side to side along the torrent wall. Eros glimpsed another foot hold and placed his heel on it. The soft bottoms of the shoes his mother made him wear slipped on the cold, wet stones. Eros gasped as another hand shot out to grab a torrent, but the gloves he wore slipped off the stone as well. As the prince fell below into a few bushes, one had got to wonder...just what the heck was the Prince doing scaling a torrent wall? The night of the blood bath had been a frightening one and one that came with consequences to the young Prince who had tried to free the Prophet Camine. However, he had been caught and punished. Guards were placed at every corner in the castle to prevent the Prince from escaping to the Prophet again. But as everyone knew, setting up guards would do nothing to a boy who knew the castle like the back of his hand. However, it had made it more difficult to find a free path. All of his exits and entries were blocked, except one...
The northern torrent wall had an old weathered stone that Eros had managed to push out of the way. From there, he could have easily scaled the wall to the courtyard where he would have time to think without having to choke on the darkness within the castle. However, he was still in the blood soaked clothing he had worn on the night of the banquet. Even the hand maids and servants were prevented from coming to his room. As he lay in the bushes for a moment, catching his breath in the cold air, Eros began to think that maybe escaping just to think about his nightmares was a little more difficult than he had planned.
Eros had been plagued with horrible nightmares after that bloody banquet. He had always had to deal with nightmares before, but this time, they were worse and seemed to so real. It was hard for him to tell the difference between reality and dream now. But what was more frightening about these dreams is what they showed him. He had seen Baphomet's death. He had felt the very slice of death. It was as if he himself had been attacked, his chest ripping open and spilling his blood. He didn't understand just who Baphomet was, for the only Prophet he knew of was Camine. But even more frightening was the dream he had about Laties. He remembered seeing Laties running into a dark tunnel and no matter how hard he yelled, Eros couldn't stop him. But it had seemed, at the last moment, when Laties turned to look at him, he saw a black hand grasp Laties and suck him in. When Laties next appeared, he was not himself. Eros shivered when he looked into Laties' eyes. There was something wrong. But the young prince just wasn't sure what it was. That's until his next dream had occured.
He had witnessed this beautiful woman before. She was a frequent visitor in his dreams. Her beauty was so great, it was hard to explain in the words he knew just how powerful her presence was. In a way, Eros thought he knew her. She had a gentle air about her that always seemed to comfort him in the darkness. But not tonight. She had not come to comfort. Instead of showing images that would soon be, she came with a decree. It was an odd decree, but her sincerity and powerful presence told Eros he had to understand her difficult words and follow just what she wanted him to do. The woman wanted Eros to find the pendant of Lumen. Erosceles, find the pendant and all will become clear. Your true fate will fall unto your hands and you will be granted the ability to rectify this sinful world by your pure hands. Find the pendant and release the purity unto the world. You will have to overcome great heights and sink to new lows. Find the pendant and save the world from its sinful spiral into destruction.
A cold breeze ruffled the white and gold hems of this clothes as he slowly sat up. But almost just as quick, his blue eyes caught those of a torrent guard's. The guard hollered his escape and disappeared. Eros swallowed hard and began to run. He had to find a hiding place! He dodged through bushes and trees, running as fast as he could (which wasn't very fast considering he never gets let outside) until he burst through a large collection of ferns and...SLAM!
Eros had run right into another body, tripped over the marble bench, which sent both bodies flying to floor only to somersault over each other in a confusing medley of stars, grass, stars, and then grass again when at one point, Eros finally opened his eyes to see that he had landed right on top of Titania. Staring at her for a moment, his brain whirred into action as he tried to fit names and faces. Finally, he smiled childishly.
"Hi Titania!" His legs were draped on either side of Titania's hips, his arms by her shoulders. He giggled, but only for a moment as more yells echoed about the castle walls.
"Here! He ran this way!"
"The courtyard, he's there!"
"Get him! We don't need to inform the King or he'll have our heads!"
Erosceles lay his chest against hers for a moment as he lay a hand over her mouth and mentioned for her to be quiet.
"Shs! Please Titania, don't tell them I'm here!" He said. Then he pushed himself up and ran into a collection of bushes just behind the bench. Just as he did so, not more than three guards stormed into the courtyard, looking about frantically.
"Where is he? Where did he go?" A soldier noticed Titania on the ground and rushed over to her.
"Lady Titania! Are you alright? What are you doing on the ground? Please Lady, did you see the young Prince run through here?" The soldier asked.
