No one knew who she was, where she came from... What she was. She walked down the street, heading for the castle. She had to get inside and look around, no one would know who she was, after all, she just got here. She walked down the dusty street, the wind blowing her hair. Her narrow eyes were scanning the streets as she walked past.
She moved for the doors to the castle. She looked at them. She put her hand on the large handle, they were cold to the touch, it reminded her.... Of herself. She opened them and walked inside. She took out a notebook and began to sketch a picture, she slowly turned to the next page and began to write down words to herself quickly. She looked around the halls. Continuing to scribble down different things as they came up.
She flipped to the next page hearing someone coming. Even though she wasn't a threat, she wasn't safe with this side yet. She kicked off the ground and kicked off the wall. She hit the other one across from it and put herself within the wall and celling. She held on to the wall with her long boots, and used her hands to hold the ceiling. She watched them walk past. She kicked off the wall and flipped before lightly hitting the ground.
She quickly headed down the hall again, her hair flowing as she moved. She couldn't help but smile to herself. She put her hands back on the pencil and grabbed the note pad from her mouth. She began to scribble down words again, she this time, ignored people as she passed them, so what? She looked like some new person wondering around and writing something to a relative, some poems. Who cared what people thought about her. It would take way too long to hide from each person she passed.
She heard footsteps, these ones, were hard, fast. She continued to slowly move. She stopped and looked forward, there at the other side of the hall, was a man. He had on armor, and metal boots. He walked closer to her. "Miss..." He said. "What are you doing here?" He asked. She looked at him.
"I'm new here, I just moved from far off. I'm going to live here. I just met with the king and I-" She stopped. "Sorry... He told me not to tell anyone, it's top secrete." She said. "I suggest you don't ask about me..." She said. "He might through you in that... What was it... Chamber.... Red Chamber... Ehh... Something like that." She said shrugging. The knight stopped a minute. He thought to himself. Life and death. The knight knew not to mess with the king. Or yes, he would be dead. He figured she was telling the truth and walked on, he didn't want to get involved. She then turned around, watching him walking away.
Tallan watched him turn the corner, his foot steps getting farther and farther off. She continued to scribble down words as she made her way to the stairs. She began to walk up the stairs. She had a lot of work to do by the end of the night. She continued on her way. She began to walk up the stairs, still writing with each step. She came to the second floor, she turned to the next page and continued to write.
She was once told, each word had it's own story. The words around it was nothing more then the real one. She was told, that to learn the other stories within it. You had to search for what it meant. She took out a small slip of paper again and looked at it. It was old, and had obviously been through a lot with her. She looked at the dark writing, almost faded into the pages by now. She shook her head as she watched the faded words.
Tallan folded the paper again and put it in her pocket. She didn't understand the language it was written in. She didn't understand any of it. She slowly put the paper away and she looked at the ground, she liked the disign. She shook her head and quickly walked down the hall again, ignoring the idiotic things that caught her eye. She had to ignore, it. Even though she wanted to stand there and take it all in. It was hard... But she faced harder.... Much harder.
