.Name. Baphomet
.Nickname. Prophet of Malaise, Prophet of Cynicism, Parasitic Prophet
.Age. His age varies constantly, seeing as he must possess mortals to interact with them in the physical realm. The age of Baphomet himself is unknown, but it is believed that he is the second eldest prophet.
.Birthday. Unknown
Race: The Prophets: those who provide the people of Alyssus with insight, wisdom, and guidance. As with all the other prophets, his race and gender varies--but there's a catch. While the others can change their appearance at whim, Baphomet is required to take over the bodies of mortals and act through them; this is because he lacks an original physical form of his own. This significant difference aside, he's essentially the same as the rest of the prophets.
Allegiance: Varies
Profession/Rank: Prophet
.Hair. Current vessel's hair is a mess of spikey, grayish-blue hair. It covers the left side of his face, and ends just above his shoulders; none in his spirit form
.Eyes. Baphomet's current host has alluring crimson eyes; dark, abyssal black in his spiritual form.
.Physical Description. A unique characteristic of Baphomet is that he lacks a definite physical body of his own. His true form is that of a rather frightening specter; because he enjoys taking over the bodies of other people and acting through them, Baphomet scarcely appears in his actual form.
Disembodied Form: This is arguably his true form. In this state, Baphomet appears as a demonic, considerably frightening ghost. This form's "body" is an intangible, wavy cloak of darkness that cascades down to the ground like a waterfall. Ornate pauldrons decorated with black and white stripes serve as his shoulders; shadowy spikes protrude from their surface and are harmless to the touch. Baphomet's head is a monstrous, skull-shaped helmet with two long, arched onyx horns protruding from each side. Like his body, his arms are composed of pure darkness, but are shielded by braces similar in color to his shoulders; his hands are sharp, skeletal claws.
Interestingly, he's always seen with ghostly snakes draped around his shoulders whilst in this form.
Current Mortal Vessel: Baphomet's current host body is Adrian Ravenwood, a young elven man around nineteen years of age. The unfortunate elf came across Baphomet in the Northern Hills and lost his body to the parasitic prophet. Adrian, like most elves, has a lithe and athletic frame. He stands at around 5'7", and certainly does not have an imposing appearance; his muscles are rather underdeveloped, giving him a scrawny appearance. Adrian is clearly androgynous, lacking any sort of bodily hair and possessing mostly feminine attributes. Baphomet tends to clothe this body of his with darker clothes, primarily black trenchcoats and matching boots.
Whenever Baphomet takes over a mortal body, the spirit inhabiting it is ejected, effectively "killing" the unlucky host. The life expectancy of said body is drastically increased once inhabited by the prophet's spirit.

.Personality. The Prophet of Malaise and Cynicism is very aptly named: he embodies everything about the qualities he is meant to represent to a tee. Baphomet does not believe in human goodness; contemptuous, he views everyone but himself as selfish, disgusting creatures that are only out for themselves. Baphomet is the kind of person who sees a glass of water as half-empty as opposed to half-full. There is no joy in life for Baphomet; therefore he feels that making everyone else miserable is justified.
Though not necessarily evil, the Prophet of Malaise is far being from a good person. He's a ruthless, unpleasant individual whose sole purpose, other than his duties as a prophet, is to spread his doctrine of distrust and nastiness to the world in order to "protect them from the deception that is the goodness of their fellow man." Baphomet is also very uncooperative and difficult, often refusing to provide people with insight and share prophecies out of lethargy and boredom. Though he can provide valuable information if you're skilled enough to get it out of him, Baphomet is probably the last prophet you'd want to go to for assistance.

.Family.
.Father. Unknown
.Mother. Most likely Lumen
.Siblings. Possibly the other prophets
.History. It is truly difficult to say just when, where, or how the prophets were created. There are many rumors as to just how they came to be. Rumors of Lumen merely molding them from herself, rumors of Lumen having relations with a man; and possibly that they simply appeared from Lumen’s will. Either way, the prophets have been around for a very long time, even possibly since Alyssus was born of the war between Lumen and Nocens Atrum. In their time, they have witnessed the rise and fall of evil many times. They have even watched as hundreds, if not thousands of men grasped the Four Sinful Swords and slain all they could. However, as mere prophets, they could only tell people to beware. But in the rise of evil and the massacre of the Shade, people often viewed the prophets as Shade, thus the prophets had to constantly be wary of Osirus’ grasp. However, they were not as lucky as they had been in the past. One of the three prophets ended up being captured and enslaved by Osirus. Forced to prophesize for him, the prophet had no choice but to be his slave.
The details of Baphomet's past and backstory are mostly unknown, save for the fact that he refused to align himself with either the Order of Lumen or the Knights of Osirus. Not exactly the type that would dedicate himself to a cause, he simply observes from the sidelines as his siblings aide the two warring factions. Every now and again he's been known to drop by and help either side; despite this, he has no real allegiance to either. Baphomet is nomadic when in possession of another body. When in his disembodied state, the prophet has been known to lurk deep within the bowels of the Nocens Atrum Temple.
